Sausages don’t always need to go on the BBQ! Toad in a Hole is a simple recipe that uses a handful of pantry ingredients. Serve for an easy lunch or dinner.

Yorkshire Pudding Batter :
Step 1
Place the flour in a jug and make a well in the centre.
Step 2
Add the eggs and whisk, bringing the flour into the centre with the eggs bit by bit.
Step 3
Pour in the milk and whisk until combined and place mixture in the fridge for at least an hour and up to 8 hours.
Sausages :
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 220C on fan.
Step 2
Place the sausages in a large baking dish, and drizzle over the oil. Place in the oven and cook for 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned all over.
Step 3
Take the Yorkshire pudding batter out of the fridge. Add in the salt and pepper and stir once more.
Step 4
Remove sausages from oven and onto a heat-proof surface. Pour the batter into the baking dish, around the sausages, and place back into the oven, continuing to cook for 25-35 minutes until risen and golden.
Step 5
Serve the Toad in the Hole with Wattie's® Gravy Traditional and a sprinkle of fresh thyme.
