½ x 2 kg bag frozen Tegel Chicken Drums, thawed and skin removed
2 Tbsp flour
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 spicy chorizo sausage, cut into small pieces
1 tsp sweet smoked paprika
2 Tbsp tomato paste
400 g Wattie's Crushed and Sieved Tomatoes
1 cup chicken stock or water
2 sprigs fresh thyme
700 g bag Wattie's frozen Casserole Mix

This passata style product uses only the finest vine-ripened Hawke's Bay tomatoes, crushed and sieved to create this natural tomato sauce style product.
Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 180°C. Toss the Tegel Chicken Drums in flour.
Step 2
Heat a dash of oil in a flame proof casserole dish and brown the chicken over a high heat. Remove the chicken and set aside. Reduce the heat.
Step 3
Add onions, garlic and chorizo sausage and over a medium heat stir-fry until the onions soften. Stir in the smoked paprika and tomato paste. Return the chicken to the pan. Add Wattie's Crushed and Sieved Tomatoes, stock and thyme. Bring to the boil. Add Wattie's frozen Casserole Mix but do not stir vegetables into the sauce. Cover.
Step 4
Transfer casserole to the oven and cook for 1 - 1 1/4 hours until chicken is falling off the bones. Stir vegetables into the sauce. Remove the thyme sprigs. Taste and season with salt and black pepper if required.
