Easy Chicken Kebabs

These BBQ kebabs are sweet, sticky and great as finger food or part of a meal. They’re sure to disappear within minutes!

400g skinless chicken thigh fillets
¼ cup Wattie's Tomato Sauce 50% Less Sugar
1 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 Tbsp low-salt soy sauce
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 tsp Dijon mustard
8-12 wooden skewers, soaked in cold water*

Step 1
Cut the chicken thigh fillets into 2 cm pieces.
Step 2
Mix together Wattie's Tomato Sauce 50% Less Sugar, oil, soy sauce, garlic and Dijon mustard. Add the chicken and mix through the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to marinate. This can be done the day before, if wished.
Step 3
Thread the marinated chicken onto the skewers. Cook on a preheated BBQ over medium heat for 10-12 minutes, turning once during cooking, or until chicken is cooked. Serve with a tossed green salad or your favourite stir-fry vegetables and rice.

Tips

*Soak the skewers in cold water for at least 15 minutes to avoid them burning during cooking.
Freeze marinated chicken in a resealable bag or airtight container. Thaw in refrigerator and thread chicken onto skewers and BBQ as per recipe.
