Method
1. Beat the eggs and milk together in a flat dish, and season. 2. Place 6 slices of toast bread on a board. Spoon Wattie’s Baked Beans
or Wattie’s Spaghetti
into the middle of the bread (make sure you don't over fill or the filling will spill out during cooking). Top with the remaining bread slices to make sandwiches. 3. In a non-stick frying pan melt a knob of butter with a dash of oil over a medium heat. 4. Dip one sandwich into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are well coated, then place in a pan and cook over a moderate heat for about 2 minutes. Turn and cook the other side until hot and golden. Repeat with remaining sandwiches. Serve hot.
Tips
Add a little extra to your sandwiches – finely chopped onion, grated cheese or drained crushed pineapple. |
