Lana Garland – Presenter for Food in a Minute
Lana (Te Atiawa, Ngati Rahiri) was raised on her parents’ dairy farm in Whitianga on the Coromandel. Today she lives in West Auckland with her two children.
Lana is proud to call herself a cook, rather than a chef. She has, however, immensely enjoyed cooking ever since she can remember, and has worked with and learnt from some very talented food experts.
Growing up, Lana’s cooking was influenced, in particular, by three women – her Mum, who let her cook whatever she liked (as long as she cleaned up); her Grandma – a wonderful cook herself – who taught her that everything can be delicious when cooked with love and attention; and her Aunty Gabrielle, who introduced Lana to Edam cheese and ratatouille, amongst many other delicious and delightful flavours.
The other love of Lana’s life is performing and she has enjoyed a variety of work as an actress. Never have her two loves worked more harmoniously together than on Food in a Minute. As food brings her such pleasure, she relishes her part in bringing inspiring everyday meal ideas to you.

Di Swann - Food Editor Food in a Minute
Di has had a long involvement with the food industry, having graduated with a Home Science Diploma some 30 years ago.
She has been with Food in a Minute since its inception. Three years ago, Di left Wattie's to embark on a culinary adventure.
Most of her time was spent studying in the UK, where she earned her Cordon Bleu Diploma, then cooking and finally teaching for 18 months at a private cooking school in Yorkshire.
On her return home, Food in a Minute was delighted to welcome her back. Di’s cooking skills, recipes and personality warm the hearts of all those involved with the show and she is excited to share her passion for food with others.
Di develops and tests recipes as well as having a hand in the overall running of Food in a Minute. Her recipes are easy, tasty and something even the fussiest eaters will enjoy.
Hannah Cullinane - Nutritionist Food in a Minute
Hannah is a New Zealand Registered Dietitian and has a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition and a Postgraduate Diploma of Dietetics.
Hannah's passion for tasty, nutritious food started at a young age, as she spent many hours in her parents’ fruit and vegetable shop. For her, nutrition and health are all about variety and balance. Good nutrition doesn’t need to be complicated or expensive and definitely does not need to be tasteless!
