Baked Bean Hash Slice
All the best things about breakfast rolled into one – hash browns, baked beans, bacon and eggs. It’s so good you can eat it at any time of the day.

Ingredients
- 500g packet Wattie's Golden Heart Original Hashbrowns
- 420g can Wattie's Baked Beans
- 4 eggs
- 4 rashers bacon
- 3/4 cup grated cheese (optional)
- freshly ground black pepper to season (optional)
- chopped parsley to garnish (optional)

Method
1. Place the Wattie's Hash Browns in the base of a 16 x 26 cm baking dish, trimming where necessary.
2. Pour over the Wattie's Baked Beans and even out.
3. Beat the eggs together and pour over the top of the baked beans.
4. Finely slice the bacon and sprinkle on top of the eggs. Sprinkle over the cheese and season with pepper, if wished.
5. Bake at 220°C at the top of the oven for 30 minutes until set. Stand 2 minutes before serving. Sprinkle with the chopped parsley if using. Serve in wedges.
Microwave instructions
Finely slice the bacon and place on a microwave proof dish. Cover and cook on high power (100%) for 1 1/2-2 minutes. Stand 2 minutes before draining away the excess moisture from the bacon. (Set aside). Place the Wattie's Hash Browns in the same size microwave proof container and cover with the Wattie's Baked Beans. Cover and cook on high power (100%) for 6 minutes. Beat the eggs and pour over the top. Cover and return to the microwave oven and cook on medium high for 6 1/2 -7 minutes until the egg is cooked. Sprinkle over the cheese and bacon and season with pepper and chopped parsley is using. Stand for 2 minutes before serving.
*Depending on the wattage of your microwave, you may need to allow extra cooking time.
