Chicken & Broccoli Bread Pie
Forget about making pastry, this delicious chicken and broccoli pie made with Very Special Creamy chicken soup is topped with Vogel’s bread and baked – how easy is that!

- Serves 4-6
Ingredients
- 500g chicken breast, diced
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 tsp crushed garlic
- 1 head broccoli, cut into florets
- 1 Tbsp chopped fresh thyme or 1 tsp dried
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 4-6 slices Vogel’s Soft Mixed Grain Sandwich Bread
- 535g can Wattie’s Very Special Creamy Chicken Soup

Method
1. Heat a non-stick frying pan and add a dash of oil. Brown chicken then add onion, garlic and broccoli. Continue cooking for a further 5 minutes. Pour into a medium sized oven-proof dish, sprinkle over the thyme and season with pepper.
2. Lightly butter the Vogel’s Soft Mixed Grain Bread and cut into small triangles and scatter over the chicken mixture. Pour over the Wattie’s Creamy Chicken Soup and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 30 minutes or until chicken is cooked.
Serve as a light meal.
