  • 4 rashers bacon
  • 25 g butter
  • 2 Tbsp finely chopped walnuts
  • ½ cup fresh white breadcrumbs
  • salt and pepper to season
  • 1 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 2/3 x 750 g bag Wattie’s frozen Whole Baby Beans


1. Finely chop the bacon. Melt the butter in a frying pan and add the bacon and cook until almost crispy. Add the walnuts and breadcrumbs and continue cooking until all is crispy. Season with salt and pepper and stir in the parsley. Keep warm.

2. Place the Wattie’s frozen Whole Baby Beans in a large shallow microwave proof dish. Cover with plastic wrap. (There is no need to add any water).

3. Microwave on high power for 5 minutes. Remove and give the beans a good shake. Return to the microwave and cook a further 2-4 minutes until piping hot.

4. Sprinkle over the bacon and walnut crumble and serve.
