  • 1kg potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup cream


  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. Grease a 20 x 30cm ovenproof dish with butter and layer the potatoes alternately with the onion.
  3. Mix together the milk and cream with salt and white pepper and pour over the potatoes.
  4. Place in the oven and bake for 60-70 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
