• 400 g dried fettuccine
  • 5-6 rashers bacon, rind removed and cut into 3-4 cm pieces
  • 600 g The Good Taste Company Fresh Creamy Pumpkin Soup
  • 125 g pottle cream cheese
  • 25 g blue cheese, crumbled
  • 2 Tbsp freshly chopped parsley or chives
  • ¼ cup toasted pine nuts

1. Cook fettucine in a large saucepan of boiling salted water until al dente, drain well.

2. Heat a dash of oil in a deep frying pan and quickly cook the bacon pieces until crisp and golden.

3. Stir in The Good Taste Company Fresh Creamy Pumpkin Soup, cream cheese and crumbled blue cheese, heat gently, season with pepper and parsley. Toss in the fettucine. Serve with toasted pinenuts.

I tried this recipe as is once and then next time altered it as follows:
The GTCo Bacon/chicken & Corn Soup instead of pumpkin, and added diced smoked chicken as well as bacon. I made this a lot and it was delicious. I was then disspaointed to find they stopped selling the bacon/corn soup

My flatmates were well impressed with this when I served it up for dinner on a bed of spinach! Good enough for dinner party fare, and so deceptively simple! Takes no longer to prepare than the time it takes to boil the pasta. I used actual blue cheese and plain cream cheese - much nicer.

This is great with a can of watties special pumpkin soup. A blue cheese at the strength you like and CHICKEN and of course the spinich and fettciune(fresh). Cook it all the time its a family favourite since I came up with this adaptation.

This is simply delicious - I don't necessary add the blue vein in if others don't like it, no matter it is the most delicious QUICK fettucine recipe I've ever made - really scrumptious!
