Oriental Pork Burger with Tempura Fries
Burgers and fries at home are a great Friday night meal and these are especially yummy with the oriental plum sauce. They will taste equally good with chicken mince why not give it a try?

Ingredients
- 500g trim pork mince
- 1/4 cup Wattie's Bit on the Side Oriental Plum Sauce
- 2 tsp minced ginger
- 1 tsp minced chilli (optional)
- 700g bag Wattie’s frozen Crunchy Tempura Fries
- 6 Burger Buns
- Lettuce leaves or shredded cabbage
- tomato slices
Method
1. Preheat oven to fan bake 210°C and line two baking trays with baking paper.
2. In a bowl mix together pork mince, Wattie’s Bit on the Side Oriental Plum Sauce , ginger and chilli, if using. Shape mince into 6 patties and place on a lined baking tray. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until patties are thoroughly cooked.
3. Spread the frozen Wattie’s Crunchy Tempura Fries out on the other baking tray and place in the oven with the burger patties and cook for 10 minutes then turn and cook for a further 8 minutes.
4. Toast the burger buns under the grill. Put the burger together with lettuce, tomato, burger patty and finish with some more Wattie’s Bit on the Side Oriental Plum Sauce.
For a great healthy meal serve with extra salad.
