  • 2 Tbsp Cottee's Maple Flavoured Syrup
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • juice of 2 oranges
  • 2 grated zest of 2 oranges
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 4-6 ham steaks
  • 2 x 350 g packs Wattie's frozen SteamFresh Vegetables
  • 1 tsp minced ginger

1. To make the glaze: In a small bowl stir together Cottee’s Maple Flavoured Syrup, ginger, garlic, 1 tsp of orange zest, 2 Tbsp of juice and soy sauce and mix well.

2. Brush one side of the ham steaks with glaze and place on BBQ or on a foil-lined grill tray. Cook 4 minutes, turn and brush with remaining glaze and cook for a further 3-4 minutes or until hot and golden.

3. Place Wattie’s SteamFresh Vegetable bag front side down on a plate. Do not pierce or open the bag. Microwave on HIGH for 4 1/2 minutes. Remove the bag from microwave and stand for 1 minute. Repeat for other bag. Carefully cut open the bags with scissors, drain any liquid and place vegetables into a warmed serving dish.

4. While vegetables are standing microwave the ginger and remaining orange rind and juice for 30 seconds, pour over the hot vegetables, toss to serve with grilled maple ham steaks and new potatoes.
