  • 1 onion, peeled and sliced
  • 1 tsp crushed garlic
  • 250 g button mushrooms, halved
  • 6-8 Tegel Fresh Skinless Chicken Thigh Fillets
  • ½ cup white wine or water
  • 420 g can Wattie's Condensed Tomato Soup
  • a few sprigs of fresh thyme


1. Heat a dash of oil in a lidded frying pan and quickly cook the onion, garlic and mushrooms for 2 minutes or until lightly brown. Set aside.

2. Add the Tegel Chicken Thigh Fillets to the pan and brown quickly over a high heat.

3. Add the wine or water to the pan. Return the vegetables and add the Wattie's Condensed Tomato Soup and sprigs of thyme.

4. Cover and simmer gently for 30 minutes or until the chicken is tender.


Serve on rice with your favourite green vegetables.

This recipe has beem enjoyed by all of the family on many occassions. I have also added to the basic recipe red and green capsicum and at different times coated the chicken with plain flour, or flour and curry powder. The results have been very enjoyable!
