Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • ½-¾ cup milk
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper or mexican chilli powder to season
  • 8 slices toast bread
  • 250 g tasty cheese
  • 420 g can Wattie's Spaghetti
  • 4 slices ham or 100g sliced salami

Method

1. Beat the eggs, milk, black pepper and cayenne pepper together.

2. Place 4 slices of bread on a board and top with the tasty cheese. Spread over equal amounts of Wattie’s Spaghetti and then top with slices of ham or salami. Top with the remaining bread slices to make sandwiches.

3. Heat a knob of butter in a frying pan and when hot, dip one sandwich into the egg mixture quickly to coat both sides. Place into the hot frying pan and cook over a moderate heat for about 2 minutes until golden. Flip and cook the other side until the sandwich is hot and golden. Cook the remaining sandwiches and serve hot.

Note: these Breakfast Sandwiches will cook in a sandwich maker.

i'm not much of a fan of spicy foods but minus the chilli powder and black pepper and it seems like i have a new no.1 brekkie!

Not a fav. Cooked them in a sammy maker and they came out a bit soggy. Rather have mouse-traps (bread, spaghetti, a dash of mixed herbs sprinkled on top, cheese, ham and bread to top).
