Ingredients

  • 500-650 g lean rump steak
  • 425 g can Wattie's Creamy Satay Stir Fry Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)
  • 454 g can pineapple, well drained, or half a fresh pineapple, trimmed and finely sliced
  • 8 spring onions, trimmed and cut into thirds
  • ½-¾ cup toasted peanuts (unsalted)

Method

1. Cut the beef into 2cm pieces. Heat a dash of oil in a frying pan and cook the beef quickly over a high heat to brown. This is best done in two batches. Return all the meat to the pan.

2. Add the Wattie's Stir Fry Creamy Satay Sauce and sweet soy sauce and simmer for 3 minutes.

3. Add the pineapple slices and spring onions and simmer a further 2 minutes. Stand for 1 minute before serving.

Serve over boiled rice and garnish with peanuts.

This was delicious! I done mine in the crockpot with top rump. It came out beautiful, I just added the pineapple and spring onion in for the last hour.
