Beef and Pineapple Satay

Satay sauce is one of the greatest Indonesian inventions of all time! The creamy peanutty sauce combines wonderfully well here with stir fry beef and pineapple.

Beef and Pineapple Satay

Ingredients

  • 500-650g lean rump steak
  • 425g can Wattie's Stir Fry Creamy Satay Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Sweet Soy Sauce (kecap manis)
  • 454g can pineapple well drained or 1/2 fresh pineapple, trimmed and finely sliced
  • 8 spring onions, trimmed and cut into thirds
  • 1/2-3/4 cup toasted peanuts (unsalted)
Wattie's Creamy Satay Stir-fry Sauce

Method

1. Cut the beef into 2cm pieces. Heat a dash of oil in a frying pan and cook the beef quickly over a high heat to brown. This is best done in two batches. Return all the meat to the pan.

2. Add the Wattie's Stir Fry Creamy Satay Sauce and sweet soy sauce and simmer for 3 minutes.

3. Add the pineapple slices and spring onions and simmer a further 2 minutes. Stand for 1 minute before serving.

Serve over boiled rice and garnish with peanuts.

This was a really big hit in my household..i sliced my spring onions as I knew they wouldnt eat if they were big lol...I didnt have sweet soy sauce so used normal.It was a lovely meal.Thanks for sharing.

i just realised this doesn't say when to put in the peanuts,thanks to my niece for pointing this out who txtd me when to put the peanuts in hahaha...but anyways this is a big hit in my family we just love this meal!!
