Beef and Beans
Perfect for tacos, in burritos or spooned over a baked potato. Nothing will warm you up quicker than a hearty beef and bean mix like this one.

Ingredients
- 300g lean minced beef
- 1 onion, peeled and diced
- 2 Tbsp oil
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 1/2 cup diced celery
- 1/2 cup diced mushrooms
- 1-2 tsp ground cumin
- 420g can Wattie's Mild Chilli Beans
- 420g can Wattie's Condensed Extra Rich and Thick Tomato Soup
- salt and pepper to season
Tips
For a vegetarian option use 600-700g evenly diced pumpkin or pumpkin and carrot.
Method
1. Brown the beef and onions in the hot oil in a lidded frying pan.
2. Add the garlic, celery, mushrooms, cumin and cook for one minute.
3. Stir in the Wattie's Mild Chilli Beans and Wattie's Condensed Extra Rich and Thick Tomato Soup . Cover and simmer gently for 25-30 minutes until the beef and vegetables are tender.
4. Serve over a baked potato, to fill tacos, roll up in a burrito or wherever you’d like a tasty mince topping.
