Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Sinsin Oyster Sauce
- 2 tsp minced ginger
- 2 tsp minced red chilli
- 1/4 cup Sherry
- 4 lean beef sirloin steaks, scotch or rump
- 1-2 tsp sesame oil
- 1 broccoli head, cut into florets
- 1 red capsicum, deseeded and sliced
- 1 red onion, peeled and sliced
- 250g swiss brown mushrooms, quartered
Tips
Note: If you don’t have a wok burner on the BBQ cook the Stir-Fry on the stovetop.
Method
1. Combine Sinsin Oyster Sauce , ginger, chilli and sherry, mix well. Set aside half the marinade for the stir-fry. Turn the steaks in the remaining marinade, cover and marinate for 30 minutes or longer.
2. Remove the steaks from the marinade and BBQ over a moderate heat on a preheated oiled hot plate or grill for 3-4 minutes each side. Set the steaks aside in a warm place covered with foil for 4 minutes to rest.
3. Meanwhile heat sesame oil in a wok on the BBQ, stir-fry broccoli, capsicum and red onion for 3 minutes, add 1/4 cup water, cover and reduce temperature until broccoli is just tender. Increase heat, toss in mushrooms and reserved oyster sauce mixture, stir quickly until the mushrooms are cooked and sauce hot. Serve immediately with steaks.
