BBQ Mini Burger Stack
A welcome addition to any family barbie. Build ‘em up with homemade beef mince patties, Wattie’s golden Medallions and a liberal helping of tomato ketchup. A genuine child-pleaser!
Ingredients
- 500g lean beef mince
- 1 small red onion, peeled and finely chopped
- 1/2 cup dried breadcrumbs
- 2-3 gherkins, finely chopped
- 1 Tbsp freshly chopped thyme
- 1/2 cup Heinz EZ Squeeze Tomato Ketchup
- 2 tsp wholegrain mustard
- 1 egg
- 500g box Wattie’s frozen Medallions
Method
1. Mix together the beef mince, red onion, breadcrumbs, gherkins, thyme, Heinz EZ Squeeze Tomato Ketchup , mustard and egg. Divide mixture into 8 mini burgers.
2. Barbecue Wattie’s Medallions on a lightly oiled plate, over a moderate heat for 8 to 10 minutes each side. Cook burgers alongside medallions for 5 minutes each side.
3. Stack alternately 3 Medallions with 2 burgers, secure with a rosemary stalk or skewer. Garnish with a slice of avocado and red pepper.
Serve with salad on the side
