Kia ora everybody, welcome to Lana’s corner, my first ever blog!
Well I couldn’t have asked for a better start to 2009 of course, it is so exciting being the new presenter of Food in a Minute.I was lucky to have a wonderful Christmas and New Year break, full of food, fun and family, all the ingredients for my perfect holiday. My batteries are now fully charged, which is lucky because at the moment it is go, go, go!
I have completed my first shoot with the wonderful Food in a Minute team. As you can imagine there is an awful lot going on and many pieces of the puzzle to be put together.
I admit I was pretty nervous, but with all the support from the old hands in the team I got it all done and really enjoyed the process.
You can see my first appearance on Food in a Minute on the 27th, and on the morning of the 28th I’ll be on TV1’s Breakfast sharing some tips on how to encourage our kids to eat the whole rainbow of fruit and veges. Actually my new year’s resolution this year is to have more dinners as a family.
It’s a great time to connect with each other and I was recently reading some research from Harvard that concluded children from families that regularly eat together have better diets; better test scores and even, less likelihood of getting involved in illegal activities, crikey! Go the family meal.
